started.
When I started applying for master’s programmes, it was pretty much assumed by everyone that you need a consultant to get into Ivies and top universities. I didn’t buy it.
The fees were overwhelming, and I didn’t like the idea of someone else shaping such a personal part of my journey. The promise was always the same:
“We’ll maximise your chances. We guarantee you results. Let us write your SOP and track your applications.”
Instead, I spent months learning the process myself, while studying and interning full-time. I built my own spreadsheets. Read admissions blogs. Watched free YouTube videos. Compared successful applications. Talked to students.
Eventually, that process became a system. It led to admission offers across top universities in the UK and the US, scholarships worth £25,000, and something even more valuable: the confidence to know I could do it myself.
Mastersmith is simply that system — cleaned up, simplified, and made affordable for the next student.
